Microneedling FAQ's

What is microneedling?

Microneedling creates micro punctures in the skin. Simply put, microneedling is the insertion of very fine short, sterilized needles into the skin for rejuvenation. When the skin feels these pinpricks, your body will naturally rush to heal them, resulting in a plumped, more youthful appearance. 

When can I see results?

From microneedling alone, you will look plump, pink, and luminous for a couple of weeks. On a short-term basis, it plumps the skin and makes the skin look more radiant from inflammation and very superficial swelling. However, because the efficacy of microneedling comes from the skin healing itself, some people may only see intense results after a few sessions. Microneedling also promises improvement over time and additionally you can supercharge your results with medical grade serums.

Is microneedling painful?

Microneedling procedures aren't painful, but they can be uncomfortable, especially for patients who may be afraid of needles. Microneedling uses tiny needlepoints to create punctures within the dermis; doing so helps encourage the body's collagen and elastin production, leading to younger and smoother-looking skin.

Is there any downtime with Microneedling?

Microneedling recovery time usually takes a mere 24 hours. However, it may take up to two to three days depending on the extent of the treatment. You can are free to return to work or school immediately after treatment and wear makeup 24 hours after your treatment.
