BOTOX & DYSPORT

About Botox & Dysport

Smooth away aging concerns with Botox and Dysport. Both incredibly effective wrinkle relaxers, these non-invasive injectable treatments can help you achieve a beautiful facial rejuvenation. A combination of factors can cause facial lines. It’s not just about the cellular changes that may occur, or reduction of collagen, or damage caused by free radicals from the sun and the environment. Repeated muscle contractions from frowning, squinting, or raising eyebrows cause skin to furrow and fold, gradually resulting in the formation of facial lines. Botox and Dysport work beneath the surface and temporarily reduces the underlying muscle activity that causes moderate to severe frown lines, crow’s feet and forehead lines in adults – to help them soften and look better.

Botox & Dysport FAQ's

What is Botox & Dysport?

Botox, like Dysport, is a type of neurotoxin that blocks muscle contractions, essentially relaxing the muscles under your skin.

How long does it last?

The results of Botox and Dysport typically last between 3-5 months depending on how your body metabolizes the injections. New patients often recognize that more than one treatment is needed to achieve lasting results within the 3-5 month period.

How should I prepare for my appointment?

It is recommended to avoid saunas, hot tubs, alcohol, aspirin, ibuprofen products, for at least 24 hours before and after treatment. We also discourage rubbing your face, sleeping on your face, exercising, and recommend staying out of the sun for at least one day after treatment.

What age should I start Botox or Dysport?

Most medical experts agree that the mid to late 20s and early 30s are a good age range to begin preventative Botox or Dysport treatments which will stop wrinkles in their tracks.
